Alan began his career in the field of substance abuse treatment as a case manager serving clients on Skid Row, where he witnessed firsthand the severity of the drug epidemic and its profound impact on the community. Over time, he advanced in the field and had the privilege of working with clients from diverse populations and backgrounds, helping them identify and achieve their goals in recovery.

Alan’s commitment to supporting individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders inspired him to further his education at the graduate level. He holds a B.A. in Psychology,M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, and currently is pursuing a second graduate degree in Public Health to deepen his involvement in the community that first inspired his passion to help others. Alan provides a therapeutic and clinically grounded approach to his clients through the integration of various evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
